Autoimmune Awareness Hop 27th March - 1st April

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, Thanks for stopping by today, today's blog is close to my heart. I am participating in the Autoimmune Awareness Hop over on Instagram. Unfortunately I never got to meet my mother in law, she passed away when my husband was much younger from a Autoimmune Disease called Lupus. For more information on this condition please visit the Lupus charity UK site  here.  I'm participating in this hop in memory of her and also as support for my husband's aunty, his mum's sister who is fighting this same disease every day. She struggles but the strength and resilience she shows is admiring.  Please visit all the amazing crafters who have joined together for this awareness hop over on Instagram, hop along, follow each person and comment on each post to be in with a chance to win some amazing prizes from our sponsors. Start the hop  HERE! You have from now until 1st April 11:59 EST. If you have got this far please keep scrolling and reading, the amazing Amy from Cr

Stretch your supplies - Easter card

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, As Easter is fast approaching I wanted to share with you a card I have created by stretching my supplies. Hopefully this can inspire you all to create something a little outside the box and use your supplies in different ways! Starting with images stamped on alcohol friendly card in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured using a variety of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. For fun I added some bunny ears from a stamp set to the Badger! (Click any image to view larger)  Badger - Grey Brown Tri-blend / Easter Eggs in any colour combination you like to make them bright and happy!  Next up I took a stitched slimline die, this is from the Heffy Doodle Slimline Trio set, I am using the 2nd to largest die. Starting with a whole panel cut from a blue to form the background. Then I cut 3 further panels from the same die, one in a darker green and 2 in a lighter green. Taking a grass border die to cut the grass affect from the dark green and one light green card to layer up. On t

You brighten my day!

Hey Crafty Friends, I'm sure I'm not the only one who owns a ton of patterned paper that we don't use for one reason or another. For me I just don't find it inspiring and the stuff owned has been sat in the cupboard for some time! As part of the recent Crafty Purple Frog launch it included a background stamp with lots of sentiments. So I thought why not try to transform some of that old tired paper.  Everything about this card today is out of my comfort zone, however I didn't let that put me off giving it all a go, we will never learn if we don't try! (click any image to view larger) Taking a piece of green coloured paper that has a faint pattern in it that is barely visible and stamped a tone on tone colour using Catherine Pooler Garden Party ink. The words in the background stamp really transformed my love for this paper! I also took a stitched heart die to cut a panel from the paper. The next part of my card is using the Flowers & Berries stamp set, I'
