Day 4 sneak peaks - Crafty Purple Frog

Image
Hey Crafty Friends,  Today we are sharing our 4th sneak peeks and our final reveal day before all items go live in the store tomorrow! This Party Mouse stamp set is fantastic, complete with hat, cake and candles you can create your own party mouse scene and the sentiments included are so fun! I've created a slimline shaker card complete with cupcakes and sprinkles for my shaker pieces for a real party feel! As usual I got a little ahead of myself and forgot to take step by step photos. Maybe I should start video processes instead? If you would like to see more videos let me know in the comments and I will see what I can do! Until next time, happy crafting! Day 3 sneak peaks - Crafty Purple Frog

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back to day 3 of sneak peeks for the new Crafty Purple Frog release. Today we are sharing inspiration for the 'Foxy' stamp set. I love this one, foxes roam around our garden all the time so as soon as I saw this regal fox I just knew it deserved a special card! I've also paired it with the new Happy Birthday everyone stand alone sentiment stamp set. For today's card I have created a shadow box card. I wanted to create a really bright fun spring themed card.  Starting with my shadow box pieces cut out and used the solid grass stamp to stamp the bottom of the outside of the box pieces to create the grass. I then used a cloudy skies stencil on the outside to create a bright sky. Using some of the small leaves I also stamped these around randomly to give some extra detail. Yesterday the team shared with you the Blooming Marvelous stamp set, within that set are some small bees so I decided to stamp a couple of these up around it too. Before assemb

Welcome to day 2 of sneak peeks for the new Crafty Purple Frog release. All items will be available on Friday 30th April in the store. Yesterday the design team and some guests designers shared inspiration for the new 'All Ears' stamp set, if you didn't see you can visit here  for all the details including giveaway details! Today we're sharing inspiration for 'Blooming Marvelous' stamp set. Floral's are not usually my thing however when I saw the rose this idea came to mind immediately. Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp up the rose image along with 2 large leaves and coloured in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. (click  any image to view larger)  The rainbow rose is a class I took with Kit and Clowder and wanted to transfer the skill to this image. If you would like to check the class out for yourself please visit the Kit and Clowder site  here. Keeping this quite a simple card for easy assemble but still effective, I took out the 'written with love&#

Masculine Light up card!

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back it's been a couple week since I have been able to do a full blog post. Today I'm sharing an masculine light up card. Making cards for men is something out of my comfort zone, however this badger from Crafty Purple Frog makes it easier to create a more masculine card and what better than an interactive light up card for a touch of fun! Starting with the badger stamped on alcohol marker friendly card, from the same stamp set I took the bow tie and stamped this onto the badger and the cane stamped by his hand. I stamped up the top hat separately to add to him later. Colour combination: brown grey and dark red triblend Next up I took a stitched rectangle and cut a back panel from a dark navy blue piece of card. As this is for someone who loves playing poker I wanted to include a card type theme. Printing some digi paper that has the symbols of a pack of cards and took stitched strips of ease to cut strips from each piece of paper and placed these di

Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you

April Challenge - MyBesties

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! This card was sent to a fellow crafter on Instagram in a birthday swap, it gave me joy to have
