You give me butterflies!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, today I'm sharing a very quick and simple tutorial for a valentines themed card. If you have Instagram you can head over  here and find a quick video. This is the first time I've done a video tutorial and hope to be able to bring you more of these soon! If Instagram isn't your thing or you prefer to see step by step photos you can continue reading here and I'll break everything down as usual with product links at the end.  Taking a card panel cut from a stitched rectangle I lined with low tac tape a section off at the top which will form the main focal point of this card. Inking a background with Distress Ink Candied Apple and Abandoned Coral , spritz with water and dab with kitchen towel. Distress ink works well reacted with water, dab some on the surface and react with a small amount of water, using a small paint brush pick up small pieces and tab gently over your inked area a few cm away from your project to create a splatter affect

Purrfect Day

Hey Crafty Friends, Today I'm sharing a project inspired by some cats that hang around the close we live in. Recently a new golden coloured kitty showed up, this kitten is super cute but also super funny, watching the cats hang out its clear this small kitten is the leader of the pack! This inspired me to pull out the Heffy Doodle Purrfect Day stamp set. Using a MISTI to stamp up the kitty's and cat post in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Colouring them with a variety of Spectrum Noir colours to represent the cats that hang around. (Click any image to view larger) Did you know Heffy Doodle has a facebook fan group? Each month there is a monthly challenge and this months theme was 'slim it down' so I thought why not get a last minute entry in! If you would like to take part you can visit Heffy Doodlers  here. Using the Stitched rectangle trio dies to cut a panel from Bright White cardstock and layering on the Wonderfully Woven stencil. This stencil is 6x6 however I won't l

Hey Crafty Friends, Thanks for stopping by again, today I am sharing a card using some Time for Tea Design goodies, I discovered T4T last year and they have some adorable sets. The project I am sharing today will mix and match some of the sets I own. As always all product links can be found at the end of my post. This blog maybe slightly longer than usual! Using a MISTI I stamped up the adorable pig from the Hogs + Kisses stamp set using Memento Black Ink and coloured him up using Spectrum Noir Triblends. In this same set there is some adorable sentiments, one being a speech bubble with 'oink' inside, I used Catherine Pooler's 'Mint to be' ink to stamp this up which I will add into my design later. (Click any image to view larger)  For the background I wanted to try something new to create a cool smooshed background that left a shimmer affect. To do this I am using Pigment Inks, a craft mat (acetate could also work), water and PaintON card stock. This particular car

Mahalo - Thank you!

Hey Crafty Friends, Thanks for stopping by again today, I hope your all keeping well and safe. Like many of you I received some great presents for Christmas along with some money to spend on crafty items as I saw fit. We all love new crafty goodies right!  So it's only right that we thank those who gave us thoughtful gifts and what better way than to give them a gift on a homemade card!  The idea behind this card is the recipient loves culture, and where better than Hawaii!  You may know they say Aloha in Hawaii for Hello and Goodbye, well after a quick search I learnt that Maloha means Thank You. Last year a new digi stamp company came on the scene called Melon Peach Stamps and I fell in love with their images immediately, part of the very first release was some Hula Girls so I thought this would make a great centre piece for my card design today. Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, today I'm sharing an inspiration card for our January challenge over at Color it, Create it, Show it off blog.  You can find all the details on how to enter  here. With February fast approaching I though I'd create a valentines day themed card, you can find the image I am using  here. This was a very quick and basic card to put together, using the stitched heart dies to cut a heart shape slightly off page and lined with some patterned paper from my stash.  Sentiments taken from 2 stamp sets and stamped with Memento Love letters and Lilac Rose colours. Using Heffy Doodle Mini essentials dies I created a Polaroid type frame to line my image which is coloured in Triblends Fair Skin, Bright Pink, Dark Red, Purple and Gold Brown blends Topped of with some red sequins I think this valentines day card is really cute! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the challenge. Until next time, Happy Crafting! Jas X Product links: Stitched heart di
