Critter Costume fun for Halloween!
Hey Crafty Friends. I’m super excited to bring you my first blog post today for Heffy Doodle, as we’re heading into the spooky season I thought it was the perfect time to bring out the adorable Costume Critters to bring you some Halloween inspiration.
To get started on this card you will need two pieces of white card stock cut to 5.5″x 4.25″. Ink up one of these pieces for your background, I am using Distress Inks with blending brushes. On your other piece of card die cut from Freshly Cut Grass Dies, you will be able to get 2 cut from this panel. I’ve used some of the green inks to splatter onto my project plus Copic Bright White.
Set these to the side to dry and stamp some images from the Costume Critters set on alcohol marker friendly card. I’ve used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. Die cut your images with coordinating dies, I’ve run them through the Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine
.
We’re going to need some additional supplies to put our card together. Die cut some elements from Elm Street Dies using Oreo Crunch and Banana Split card stock. I’ve also cut my own card base from Kiwi Crush, this measures at 11″ x 4.25″ scored at 5.5″ and to finish up cut the frame part of the die from the Fright Night Paper Pack
Before you stick down all the elements stamp a sentiment directly onto your card background. I’ve used double side tape to adhere my background and grass to the card base followed by adhesive glue in the form of the adorable Glubert to attach the rest of my images to my scene.
Last but not least finish up with the Fright Night Enamel Dots. I hope you have enjoyed today’s Halloween inspiration, as the spooky season approaches I can’t wait to see what you all come up with whether that be cards, scrapbook layouts, or even home decor!
Until next time, happy crafting!
