Stretch your supplies - Easter card

Hey Crafty Friends,

As Easter is fast approaching I wanted to share with you a card I have created by stretching my supplies. Hopefully this can inspire you all to create something a little outside the box and use your supplies in different ways!

Starting with images stamped on alcohol friendly card in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured using a variety of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. For fun I added some bunny ears from a stamp set to the Badger! (Click any image to view larger) 

Badger - Grey Brown Tri-blend / Easter Eggs in any colour combination you like to make them bright and happy! 

Next up I took a stitched slimline die, this is from the Heffy Doodle Slimline Trio set, I am using the 2nd to largest die. Starting with a whole panel cut from a blue to form the background. Then I cut 3 further panels from the same die, one in a darker green and 2 in a lighter green. Taking a grass border die to cut the grass affect from the dark green and one light green card to layer up. On the 3rd light green take a cloud die upside down and die cut across this will form a tree at the top of my scene.

To give the panels some texture I splattered distress ink onto each section, Mowed Lawn for the grass, Peacock feathers on the background and Shabby Shutters on the tree.

To finish up I added a tree stump die cut to my upside down cloud tree and a sentiment from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set by Heffy Doodle. I then backed this onto a slimline scalloped frame.

I hope this inspired you to stretch your supplies and use something a little less usual on your cards! I think the badger looks adorable harvesting his or her eggs!

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
