Now let's get to my inspiration!
As usual I got very ahead of myself and forgot step by step photos! This is a very easy card to put together, I even attempted a no line colouring method and love how it turned out.
I started with a stitched rectangle backing panel and stenciled up with a dotty stencil from my stash with scattered straw and cracked pistachio distress ink.
Next up I took 2 stitched oval dies cutting one in a mint green card to match my stenciled background and another the next size down from alcohol marker card as this is where I'm stamping my image to colour.
For my no line colouring I cheated slightly and used Toffee Crunch Memento ink then coloured up with gold brown triblend which is almost a perfect match to the ink. Use a dark grey or black to fill in the eyes and add dimension with a white gel pen. I like the signo uniball white gel pen.
Finishing up with a sentiment from the set and stamped some of the small leaf decorations in the corners using the circles in the stenciled background as a guide to stamp in. Couldn't resist some morning dew nuvo drops too!
I hope you have enjoyed today's inspiration for the new release, now hop on over to Instagram, follow the accounts listed in the poster and comment on each Crafty Purple Frog post for a chance to win!
Come back tomorrow for another sneak peak on the new release!
