Clean and Simple

Hey Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing 2 easy clean and simple designs using the Crafty Purple Frog stamp range.

All supplies can be found at the end of my post.


Both cards feature the all ears stamp set. For my first card I took just the glasses accessories and stamped a background laying them in different positions to create a patterned paper look. The background is stamped using Toffee Crunch Memento Ink. I then stamped just one of the glasses and coloured up using my copic markers. I back this onto the card with a small piece of foam tape to make it stand out from the background and added a sentiment, I used Catherine Pooler inks with clear sparkle WOW embossing powder. The glasses have added clear stickles to them for extra sparkle, no wonder it was hard to get my camera to focus on this one!



For my second card I stamped up the Hare, he is beautiful (or she!) I love how easy this stamp is to colour and really can take focal point of your card. Using the Crafty Purple Frog digi paper I created a small area at the bottom. I stamped the hare separately on alcohol marker friendly card and stuck him down minus the tops of his ears so they stood out because his ears are awesome! 

For my sentiment on this card I used the standalone sentiment set from release one called 'Happy Birthday everyone' I added some glossy accents to the glasses for extra dimension!

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you
