To my significant Otter!

Hey Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a fun card following several challenge themes. I love challenges to prompt ideas and use supplies in different ways.

First up we have the Heffy Doodlers Facebook challenge, this challenge runs monthly in our fan group and this months theme is 'Tone on Tone' 

I've taken the Heffy Doodle Stitched Square Dies to create a front panel for my card die cut from Bubblegum Blush card stock.

Layer on the Love is everywhere stencil and use Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to create a tone on tone look!

Die cut centrally from your stenciled panel using a Square Frame label die to create a window to turn your card into an interactive card!

Before putting acetate over your window use the outer piece to help line your die cut piece onto your card panel so this is shown behind your shaker pieces.

Attach acetate to the back of your stenciled panel that has the die cut from it, you can also attach foam tape around your window, you want to make sure that each edge meets each other so there is no gaps for your shaker pieces to fall out from!

For my shaker elements I have used Pink Fizz sparkle mix by Heffy Doodle. 


Stamp images on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using copic markers.

I'm using the adorable Otter Side stamp set with Co-ordinating dies.

Copic Colours: E29, E25 and E21. RV09, RV06 and RV04.

To finish up I stamped my sentiment onto some more Bubblegum Blush card stock die cut from a Stitched Strips of Ease.

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you
