Panda Pandamonium

Hey Crafty Friends,

Welcome back, today I'm bringing you another guest design post for Melon Peach Stamps, if you haven't yet seen their online digi store I highly recommend you check it out, you can find them here.

At the beginning of October they released a panda digi set and I just had to have them! So today I'm sharing a birthday card using this set and will be pairing it with some other supplies I already own to match. As always all product links can be found at the end of my post 😊

Starting with the digi images printed on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and using a variety of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, old and new Tri-Blends to colour them up.

Colour Combination:

Panda: IG5, IG7 + IG9

Bamboo: Light Green blend 

For the background I knew I wanted to use a stencil by Time for Tea Designs called Bamboozled. Starting with a distress inked background of Peacock Feathers, Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and then stenciled over with Cracked Pistachio.

Next I wanted to create the look of the panda going down a slide into a pit of balloons, pulling out the Heffy Doodle Ad-roar-able Lions stamp set as it has small single balloons with the string detached, using a Mini MISTI I stamped several balloons whilst also masking them so I could layer them up. For the slide I drew the image myself, its included below please feel free to use it in any project if you wish 😊

Colour combination:

Balloons: Various Tri-Blends

Slide: Blue Turquoise + Gold Yellow blends

Now I have the majority of my pieces in rough position on the card I tucked the bamboo pieces around the scene. For the sentiment I am using the Time for Tea Designs Pandamonium stamp set which has a great matching sentiment in it.

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
