Time for Tea Designs June Challenge

Hey Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by, I'm super excited to share today's project with you. Back in April Time for Tea Designs started a brand new monthly challenge with 2 prizes available. One of those prizes is the chance to guest design for a future challenge. I was super lucky to be picked from this first challenge to bring you inspiration for June. 

The theme for June is 'Create a Scene'

My card today features Baked with Love and Bake my Day stamp sets alongside the Windmill Builder die.


I created these super cute mice a 'cheesemill' to stage their photo as they all say cheese, as usual I'm sure with all family photos there is always one not looking at the camera!! I used the tiny small die holes from the windmill die builder set to create cheese holes in the main house!

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you
