Day 1 sneak peeks - CPF July Release

 

Hey Crafty Friends,

Today is exciting, the Crafty Purple Frog design team are sharing inspiration with you all week for a new release. This is designed with Christmas in mind, whilst it might feel early its good to start preparing! 

Up first is this adorable Otter from the Otterly Adorable stamp set. 
I went with a super clean and simple design combining the old with the new! All items will be available in the store from Friday 9th July. Other supplies used can be found at the end of my post.

Don't you just love a stamp set that you can mix and match, I've taken the top hat from the Badger stamp set in release one, the tie from the Foxy stamp set in release two and dressed this Otter up ready for a Party! 

The snowflakes are from one of the new sets that will be revealed in the coming days so keep your eyes peeled for that! They have been embossed on a Distress Inked background of Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass.

The sentiment is taken from the Happy Birthday everyone stamp set from a previous release and the brand new Crafty Christmas sentiment stamp set.

I'll be back tomorrow to share more inspiration using the new release.

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you
