Livin' that pumpkin spice life!

Hey Crafty Friends,

As you know we lost our Queen recently, it's been incredibly sad and we sure sent her off in style. The queen was well known for her love of animals especially her love of Corgi dogs.

I just had to pull out the Oh Crumbs stamp set from Heffy Doodle. As you may know I love to mix and match my sets and as we're heading into Autumn I decided to make an autumnal themed card instead of the traditional 'tea party'. I'm pairing the Corgis with the brand new Perfect Blend stamp set also by Heffy Doodle.

Card Recipe:

1. Stamp images on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in copic markers.

Colour Combo:

Corgi dogs - YR27, YR24, YR21

Pumpkins - E07, YR18, YR04. Teal - BG09, BG07, BG05

Coffee cups - E25, E33, E21. W7, W5, W3, W2, W1, W0. C3, C1 for shading on the lid

Small coffee cups - same Teal as above for pumpkins

Red hearts R27

Sugar bowl and milk jug C5, C3, C1

2. Take the Wonderful Windows stencil and lay on top of a card panel die cut from white stock using the whimsically wonky largest nesting die

Ink each square up with 2 colours, I'm using Hot Tub and Clay Mask inks by Catherine Pooler. I've used Ink blending tools with domed foam applicators. You can find them here.

3. Adhere you images using adhesive glue

4. Use a stamping platform to stamp your sentiment directly onto the card with black tuxedo memento ink.

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
