Baked with Love

Hey Crafty Friends,

I was inspired to bring out an oldie but still good stamp set from my stash by Time for Tea Designs at the weekend. I am trying to fill my stash of cards again after sending approximately 150 to a team of food angels to put into their packages for the community. It was such a great feeling to donate them for a purpose. I'm now making more cards for my stash and hope to be able to send another box full in a few months!

Starting with the Baked with Love and Bake My Day stamp set to create a clean and simple card design. You can shop all the supplies at Crafty Purple Frog

Card Recipe:

1. Stamp images on alcohol marker-friendly card and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using Copic markers

Colour Combo:

Mouse - W7, W5, W3, W1

Cheese and inside oven - Y38, Y15, Y13, Y11

Oven and bowl - B39, B37, B34

2. Die cut from white card using a whimsically wonky frame die

3. Using Memo tape create a masked-off area at the bottom of your card. Memo tape has straight edges so you can line up at the bottom of your card for a straight masked area

4. Lay on the heart masquerade stencil just above the memo tape line, and lay on top the brick wall stencil to ink up a heart brick wall.

I've just pulled a brush from my stash that had ink on it, I believe it may have been scattered straw that I last used on this brush!

I'm not particular about my brushes so much and often just pull a brush out and use whatever ink is left on it!

5. Remove stencils and mask, now move your mask up and use the bottom of the heart as your guide. I also like to use something with grid lines like my staytion to help me place the memo tape straight across

6. Ink up the bottom section with a light blue, again I have just pulled out a brush, it might be mermaid lagoon! You will notice I've started at the top just under the heart and worked my way towards the bottom of the card but not fully covering the white area, this just hints at the floor but keeps it clean and simple!

7. Use black ink to stamp sentiment directly onto the card

8. Attach images with adhesive glue

9. Use a light ink colour such as London Fog to stamp some heat smoke pieces and the small squeak sentiment to add some extra interest to your background.

10. Back onto a card base, as this is UK Metric sized I have taken a piece of A5 card and scored in half for my base!

I hope you have enjoyed today's inspiration. I encourage you to pull an older stamp set from your stash that has gone unloved for some time and create something new with it!

Until next time, happy crafting!
