Just a note

Hello Crafty Friends,

I'm stopping by to share a card using some supplies from my stash that have gone unused since purchase! Please tell me I am not the only one who appears to collect craft supplies rather than using them!!



Card Recipe:

1. Take a piece of white cardstock cut from a whimsically wonky frame die

2. Ink background using Clay Mask and Buttershea Catherine Pooler inks

3. Take a Bokeh layering stencil, I'm using the Pretty Pink Posh Bokeh layering stencil. Ink first layer using Hot Tub Catherine Pooler ink, for your 2nd layering stencil ink on Royal Treatment. For the 3rd layering stencil I took some Nuvo Glitter Paste to add some texture to my background. Nebula for the bottom half into a lighter Turquoise Topaz.

4. Stamp image on alcohol marker friendly cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colour in your favourite medium, I'm using copics. Once die cut I added some Bakers Twine to create the strings on the harp.

Colour combo:

Dog - YR27, YR24, YR23, YR21

Harp - BG45, BG34, BG32

5. To help ground the image I took a Stitched Heart die cut from Simply Teal-icious cardstock and inked this with Hot Tub ink, ink blending on coloured cardstock is a favourite of mine to make it easier, it seems to grab the ink for a better covering!

6. Now your heart panel is inked up, run it through the die cutting machine again using the same Whimsically Wonky frame die just down one edge, I have done this so the edging matches but also so I don't have to use the whole heart.

7. Use foam tape to attach your image onto the heart section to help give it some depth and pops a little more of the page.

8. Finish up by stamping your sentiment directly onto the card and add some sparkle by adding gems/sequins. I've used Royal Mist sparkle mix by Heffy Doodle

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
