Help is never far away!

Image
Hey Crafty Friends, Today I get to share inspiration with you using a previous release from  Scrappy Boy Stamps . This card was one of those happy accidents, I had a beautifully blended background for a Halloween themed card before I knocked over some liquid I had on my desk which created a right mess!  I decided to try and recover the background anyway and these  Superhero stamps felt like the perfect fit! Do you throw backgrounds away that are messed up or recover/recycle them? I would love to know in the comments below! Card Recipe: 1. Blend a background from Wilted Violet , Candied Apple ,  Carved Pumpkin and  Squeezed Lemonade 2. This is where I spilt water on the project, you can get the same affect by adding flicks or drops of water onto the background and dab away with kitchen towel. Keep adding water until you have a sort of Bokeh sort of affect! If you do want the colours to mix like mine did you can also drop water onto the background and first...

The latest release from  Scrappy Boy  has a fantastic chocolate theme to it so gave me a perfect excuse to use my latest purchase the HoneyBee Stamps  Sweet Treat Box Die Recipe for boxes: 1. Take some card stock of your choice, alternatively why not check out the amazing co ordinating  paper packs to these stamp sets. I'm using Heffy Doodle card stock  Butterscotch  and  Bubblegum Blush 2. As this was the first time I had played with this die I used a fab video on YouTube which you can find  here 3. Stamp desired  images on  alcohol marker  friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using copic markers Colour Combo: Skin - E33, E31, E11, E00 Dress - Y17, Y15, Y13. Take a  stitched heart  background die cut from  oyster shell  card stock 2. Ink around the edges with  shaded lilac  ink 3. Take a scalloped frame die and die cut from a slightly shiny card stock. I'm using something from a mix box I got from  papermill  direct 4. Stamp  images  on  alcohol marker  friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using copics Colour Combo: BV25, BV23, BV31 5. Die cut a  get well soon  sentiment with a shadow cut. I've cut my shadow from the same as my scalloped frame and then word from a slightly darker shiny card stock. I hope you have enjoyed today's inspiration, remember you don't need a huge range of colour combo's to experiment, this was a new combo to me which I think I love and will definitely use again. Until next time, happy craf...
