Help is never far away!
Hey Crafty Friends,
Today I get to share inspiration with you using a previous release from Scrappy Boy Stamps.
This card was one of those happy accidents, I had a beautifully blended background for a Halloween themed card before I knocked over some liquid I had on my desk which created a right mess!
I decided to try and recover the background anyway and these Superhero stamps felt like the perfect fit! Do you throw backgrounds away that are messed up or recover/recycle them? I would love to know in the comments below!
Card Recipe:
1. Blend a background from Wilted Violet, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade
2. This is where I spilt water on the project, you can get the same affect by adding flicks or drops of water onto the background and dab away with kitchen towel. Keep adding water until you have a sort of Bokeh sort of affect! If you do want the colours to mix like mine did you can also drop water onto the background and first take another piece of card stock and layer on top, rub over this piece and remove then use kitchen towel to dry main background a little. This was my happy accident lol!
3. Stamp desired images on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using copics.
4. Take a stitched strip die and stamp a sentiment on. I've used a dark blue card stock with a dark blue ink to tie in my blue coloured image
5. Attach images and sentiment strip with foam tape
