Purrfect Day

Hey Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a project inspired by some cats that hang around the close we live in. Recently a new golden coloured kitty showed up, this kitten is super cute but also super funny, watching the cats hang out its clear this small kitten is the leader of the pack! This inspired me to pull out the Heffy Doodle Purrfect Day stamp set.

Using a MISTI to stamp up the kitty's and cat post in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Colouring them with a variety of Spectrum Noir colours to represent the cats that hang around. (Click any image to view larger)

Using the Stitched rectangle trio dies to cut a panel from Bright White cardstock and layering on the Wonderfully Woven stencil. This stencil is 6x6 however I won't let that stop me using it on a slimline, you can see below I've used it in a diamond shape and taped off the corners that aren't covered with Heffy Doodle Memo Tape so I dont get ink on the non stenciled section.


The card base is cut down from some Heffy Doodle Sunny side up card, 8.5" long x 7" crease at 3.5", additionally I die cut the Scalloped frame from the slimline pull tab die set from Pumpkin Patch card.

Using double sided sticky tape to stick the Scalloped frame panel to the card base and the stencil panel layered on top. Glubert craft glue works perfectly for the small critters and dries clear! Once all the images were stick down I printed up 3 sentiments from the set using the same colour card as my base with Versamark ink and WOW bright white embossing powder.

    I love all animals and several of my family have dogs but I'm the cat lover of the family for sure. I love the story about the kitties, I'd love to see a photo of them, especially the leader of the gang. 😻😹

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
