Scrappy Boy Stamps - May Release #3 - New Baby Card

Hey Crafty Friends,

Today's card uses the latest Scrappy Boy Stamps Release however I took it in another direction to make something that wasn't nostalgic.

Sometimes the smaller stamps in a set can make a card with a completely different feel and these sets gave some great smaller images to do just that!

Card Recipe:

1. Take a piece of plain bright white card stock cut down to the size of a large slimline rectangle scalloped die

2. Take some inks in light colours. I'm using Catherine Pooler inks. These inks are nice and vibrant when stamping images to give a good impression. I've chosen It's a GirlOh Boy! and Limoncello. Using the flower, bear and dog image from the Hello Everyone stamp set and the star image from the Hello Friends stamp set to stamp across your page, rotate between your 3 colours and turn your stamp in different directions as you go to create a full page that isn't symmetrical in any way and creates a more fun look.

Tip: For a more authentic look with your stamping, stamp some off the page so your not using the whole image

3. Take the coordinating paper pack and a Happy New Baby and die cut firstly the shadow part of the die from the stripy paper and the word part of the die from the white spotty paper. Use adhesive glue to stick the words to the shadow cut out

4. Die cut your stamped panel from the slimline stitched scalloped edge die

5. Attach your word sentiment centrally using foam tape to give it some depth and help it stand out from the background a little

I hope this has inspired you to use the smaller images in your stamp sets to create a completely different card from what the set may have been intended for. Stretch your supplies!

Until next time, happy crafting!
