Scrappy Boy Stamps - May Release

 Woohoo it's new release time at Scrappy Boy Stamps and this month we have everybody's favourite kitty!

There are 2 amazing new stamp sets as well as a coordinating stencil and paper packs in both 6x6 and 4x9!!

Be sure to check back here in a few hours where I will also have more inspiration using a 3rd brand new set this month, we are being truly spoilt!

Card Recipe:

1. Take a large stitched scalloped frame and die cut from patterned paper. I'm using the new coordinating 6x6 paper pack.

2. Take a smaller nesting die from the same set and die cut from another piece of patterned paper from the paper pack. I've gone for a white piece with a light pattern to help my images stand out on top.

3. Stamp images on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in the medium of your choice. I'm using copics.
Colour Combo:
Skin: E33, E31, E11, E00
Hair: E29, E25, E21
Dog: E18, E15, E11
Bear and Hat: YR18, YR16, YR14
Heart and Clothing: RV09, RV06, RV04

4. Take a small scalloped die from the same nesting set and die cut from a piece of coloured card stock, I've taken a small scrap piece of bubblegum blush and stamp a sentiment.

5. Glue down images with adhesive glue and finish off with some enamel dots

I hope you have enjoyed todays layout, I don't use patterned paper often however when you find an amazing co ordinating paper pack like this one it can really make the difference to a card!

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
