Kraftin Kimmie - Instagram Hop - May Release

Hey Crafty Friends,

Card Recipe:

1. Start by die cutting a rolling hill scene and ink blend the hill sections in different green tone inks to add interest to the background. I've used Forest Moss and Rustic Wilderness

2. Ink blend the sky from Blue Bay and Luscious Lemon

3. Die cut a fence border for your top and middle hill

4. Die cut a barn for your scene

5. Stamp images on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using copics.

6. Stamp a sentiment onto the main card base and glue all images in place

These dies are so great for putting together quick but affective scenes. Don't forget to come hop along on Instagram to see what the rest of the team have been up too!

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple.
