Scrappy Boy Stamps - Coffee Girls - May Release

Hey Crafty Friends,

As promised I'm back with my 2nd post today using the 3rd stamp set in this months release at Scrappy Boy Stamps and this one feels like it was made for me! As someone who survives on coffee I fell in love with this set immediately. Meet the Cute Coffee Girls!

Card Recipe:

1. Take a piece of faux alcohol ink paper, or create your own alcohol ink background and cut from a stitched scalloped frame

2. Stamp image on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. I'm using copics.

Colour combo:

Skin: E35, E33, E31, E11, E00. R20 for blush

Hair: C9, C7, C5, C3, C1

Top: V17, V15, V12

Trousers: B37, B26, B24, B21

Large cup: V95, V91. W7, W5, W3, W1 for the paper around the cup. C3, C1 for white shadow

3. Die cut the words Hello and Friend from black card stock and a white shimmery card. Layer the words up using adhesive glue so you have a black shadow on the words

4. So the image doesn't get lost in the background die cut a heart from a piece of vellum, as this is a see-through type of paper it will allow the background to still be seen subtly whilst helping your image stand out. Stick your image with foam tape onto your vellum heart, by attaching the image to your heart first this will allow you to put tape onto the back of the vellum in only places that the image will hide from the front.

5. Attach your heart centrally with double sided sticky tape and adhesive glue for your word dies.

This was a nice simple card to put together however I love how the Ink Drop paper gives it something special!

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you
