Kraftin Kimmie - Inspirational Wednesday

Hey Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to share some extra inspiration for Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Each week on Wednesday the design team will bring you inspiration using a particular set and what better is you get 40% this week on the set used!

I have 3 cards to share with you today using the Love Bugs stamp set.

Card Recipe:

1. Take a piece of patterned paper of your choice and some kraft card. 

2. Stick your patterned paper down onto a card base, die cut the kraft card with a scalloped edge die and layer this on top of your patterned paper.

3. Stamp your images on alcohol marker friendly card stock and colour in your favourite medium. 

Colour Combo:

Flowers: Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11

Pink - RV19, RV14, RV13, RV11

Blue - BG18, BG15, BG13, BG10

Purple - V19,V17, V15

Ladybirds - C9, C7, C5, C3. R37, R35, R32

4. Use a stamping platform to stamp your sentiment directly onto the kraft card.

5. Stick images down with foam tape and adhesive glue to create a dimension.

Card Recipe:

1. Take a card base with rounded edges and stamp your snails directly onto it. I have gone with 7 so I can use the colours of the rainbow! You can also stamp your sentiment too.

2. Colour your snails in your favourite rainbow colours

3. Use a light grey ink to randomly stamp some of the hearts to fill the white space

Wasn't that quick and easy! I am sure this design would put a smile on anyone's face!

Card Recipe:

1. Take a card panel cut from white card stock.

2. Ink from top down to about half way using the KKS Luscious Lemon ink

3. Stamp the small flower image across the bottom of your panel, stamp them at random heights. You can stamp off page so it adds interest rather than a complete straight line.

Colour Combo: G17, G14, G12. R29, R27, R22

4. Stamp your sentiment onto your card panel

5. Back onto a card base of a light blue card stock

April Challenge - MyBesties

Hey Crafty Friends, It's a new month so that means the start of a new challenge over on the Colour it, Create it, Show it off challenge blog, as always our challenge is anything goes, that's any image, any project. Why not grab you favourite set and join us  here. If you would like to treat yourself to a new image you can find all the MyBesties images  here. This will be a shorter post again today, it's a very simple card. I coloured the image in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut around her. Taking a card blank and used Kitsch flamingo distress ink to bring down some colour to about a quarter down the panel and fade out into the white to give a very soft look and feel. Using some trees branches, flowers and leaves from a couple sets in my stash and a birthday sentiment to top this off and bring it all together.  I cant wait to see what you come up with for the challenge! Swan Galaxy - Interactive card!

Hey Crafty Friends, Welcome back, I'm sharing my usual design team post for Crafty Purple Frog a few days early because I am so impatient and love this card so much that I wanted to share with you all at the earliest opportunity!  Today's card is very fitting, I usually make a card with someone in mind or themed around something I've seen. My idea for this came as soon as I saw the set 'Spread your wings' This beautiful swan has big regal wings that meant it deserved the opportunity to fly! To start up I took a scalloped slimline frame die and inked up a galaxy type background, now the thing to remember with creating a galaxy background is it might look like a hot mess to start with! A galaxy background can use any colours you feel are fitting, I'm using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Candied Apple. You can put some greens and pinks in too if you would like.  Take a blending tool, I'm using a blending brush and bring in random sections of colour using you
